The song is about a an ‘ol boy who ain’t past the goodbye of her leaving him. He knows he ain’t getting over her any time soon and leaning on the bottle just brings on storms of emotion…the pain and sadness sets in like bad weather….the pain which comes down on him is like “Alabama Rain’ The musicians for “Alabama Rain” were put together by my producer Keith Stegall, so that’s why it’s real country!!! It’s got that late 80’s early 90’s feel to it….which I’m all about!!! It’s my kind of country music.
